Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before operation. Wear appropriate PPE.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, heavy-duty gloves, steel-toed boots, and long pants.
  2. Work Area Safety: Keep bystanders at least 15 feet away. Ensure firm, level footing. Never operate in wet conditions.
  3. Tool Inspection: Check for loose parts, damaged wheels, and fuel leaks before each use.
  4. Kickback Awareness: Be aware of potential kickback; always grip handle firmly.

WARNING! Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel only when engine is cool, outdoors, and away from ignition sources.

Assembly & Preparation

Unpack and inspect all components. Assemble on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Handlebar Attachment: Secure handlebar to main unit using provided bolts and wrench. Tighten to specified torque.
  2. Cutting Wheel Installation: Ensure guard is in open position. Mount wheel on spindle, secure with flange and nut. Tighten with supplied wrench.
  3. Fuel Mix Preparation: Use STIHL 2-stroke engine oil mixed with unleaded gasoline (50:1 ratio). Shake well in approved container.
  4. Final Check: Verify all fasteners are tight. Check throttle trigger and stop switch for proper function.

CAUTION! Never use damaged or incorrect cutting wheels. Ensure wheel rotates freely before starting.

Technical Specifications

Controls and Components

Main Controls: Throttle trigger, throttle trigger lockout, stop switch, choke lever, primer bulb.

Components: Engine, cutting wheel guard, depth adjustment knob, handlebar, fuel tank cap, spark plug cover, muffler.

Operation: Throttle trigger controls engine speed. Throttle trigger lockout must be depressed before throttle can be engaged. Stop switch stops engine immediately. Choke lever aids cold starting. Primer bulb pumps fuel into carburetor.

Starting & Operation

Starting Procedure (Cold Engine):

  1. Place saw on firm, level ground. Ensure cutting wheel is clear of obstructions.
  2. Press primer bulb 5-10 times until fuel is visible.
  3. Move choke lever to closed position.
  4. Depress throttle trigger lockout and pull throttle trigger briefly. Release.
  5. Pull starter rope briskly until engine fires (1-3 pulls).
  6. Move choke lever to open position immediately.
  7. Pull starter rope again to start engine. Allow to warm up at idle for 30 seconds.

Tip: For hot restart, do not use choke. Use half-choke position if needed.

Cutting Procedures

Supports cutting of concrete, asphalt, stone, brick, and metal with appropriate wheels.

  1. Depth Adjustment: Loosen knob, set desired depth, retighten knob.
  2. Positioning: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, firm grip on handlebar.
  3. Starting Cut: Lower spinning wheel gently into material. Do not force.
  4. Cutting Motion: Use steady, even pressure. Let wheel do the work.
  5. Kickback Prevention: Never cut above shoulder height. Be aware of wheel binding.
  6. Wheel Changing: Stop engine, wait for wheel to stop. Use quick-release guard.
  7. Dust Control: Use water attachment if available to suppress dust.

WARNING! Never use cutting wheel for grinding or side pressure. Always cut straight down.

Maintenance Schedule

Daily: Clean air filter, check wheel for damage, inspect fasteners. Weekly: Clean spark arrestor screen, check fuel filter. Monthly: Clean cooling fins, check spark plug gap (0.5 mm).

Long-term: Replace fuel filter annually. Have carburetor adjusted by authorized dealer every 2 years.

Storage & Transport

For storage: Drain fuel tank and run engine until it stops. Remove spark plug, add 1-2 teaspoons of engine oil through spark plug hole, pull starter rope slowly 2-3 times to coat cylinder. Store in dry, locked area.

CAUTION! Transport with fuel tank empty or using approved fuel transport container. Secure saw to prevent movement.
