Controls and Operation

Loop Handle: Contains trigger switch, lock-off button, and cord retainer.

Starting: Press and hold lock-off button, then squeeze trigger. Release trigger to stop.

Operation: Hold trimmer with both hands. Swing trimmer in an arc from right to left, keeping cutting head parallel to ground. Avoid hitting hard objects.

Cutting Head & Line Replacement

Cut two lengths of STIHL trimmer line (1.6 mm diameter) to approx. 4 meters each.
Insert line ends into eyelets on spool and wind in direction of arrows.
Reinstall spool into cutting head, ensuring line ends pass through eyelets.
Pull lines gently to release from retainers.

WARNING! Use only STIHL recommended line. Do not use metal line or wire.
