Ignition System Parts

Maintenance & Care

Regular maintenance ensures longevity and safe operation.

  1. Daily/Before Use: Check chain tension, sharpness, and lubrication. Inspect for loose parts.
  2. Cleaning: Use a brush to remove sawdust from cooling fins, air filter, and clutch area.
  3. Air Filter: Clean regularly with soapy water, dry completely. Replace if damaged.
  4. Fuel Filter: Replace annually or if clogged.
  5. Spark Plug: Clean and regap (0.5mm / 0.020") every 50 hours. Replace annually.
  6. Chain & Bar: File chain regularly. Clean bar groove and oil holes. Flip bar periodically.
  7. Storage: Run carburetor dry or use fuel stabilizer. Store in a dry place.
