Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Assemble on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Attach handle: Secure handle to drive shaft using provided bolts.
  2. Install harness: Adjust straps for comfortable fit before starting.
  3. Add attachment: Select desired tool (trimmer head, brush cutter, etc.) and attach to drive shaft.
  4. Fuel preparation: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (minimum 89 octane) with no ethanol if possible.
  5. Add engine oil: Fill with SAE 10W-30 oil to proper level (check dipstick).

WARNING! Always wear protective equipment: safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and sturdy footwear during assembly and operation.

First-Time Operation

Complete assembly and perform pre-operation checks before starting.

  1. Check fuel and oil: Ensure proper levels before each use.
  2. Inspect attachment: Verify tool is securely attached and cutting elements are in good condition.
  3. Starting procedure: Set stop switch to "I", press primer bulb 5 times, set choke, pull starter cord firmly.
  4. Warm-up: Allow engine to run at idle for 1-2 minutes before applying load.
  5. Test controls: Verify throttle response and stop switch functionality.

CAUTION! Never operate in enclosed spaces due to carbon monoxide risk. Maintain firm footing on stable ground.

Specifications

Controls and Functions

Main controls located on handle assembly. Powerhead features: fuel cap, oil fill, air filter cover, spark plug.

Handle Controls: Throttle trigger with lockout, stop switch, harness attachment points, vibration dampeners.

Operation: Squeeze throttle lockout and trigger simultaneously to increase engine speed. Release to idle. Emergency stop: Activate stop switch immediately. Attachment changes: Stop engine, wait for all parts to stop moving, depress coupling button, remove tool, insert new attachment until it clicks.

Attaching Tools

Tool-less system allows quick changes between different attachments.

  1. Stop engine completely and allow to cool.
  2. Depress coupling button on drive shaft end.
  3. Remove current attachment by pulling straight off.
  4. Align new tool with drive shaft splines.
  5. Push firmly until audible click confirms secure attachment.
  6. Tug gently to verify secure connection before operation.

Tip: Clean drive shaft splines periodically to ensure proper tool engagement.

Operating Procedures

Proper technique ensures efficient operation and extends tool life.

  1. Trimming: Use sweeping motions from side to side, keeping cutting head parallel to ground.
  2. Brush cutting: Use blade in circular pattern, cutting from top to bottom of vegetation.
  3. Edging: Hold tool vertically along pavement edges for clean lines.
  4. Cultivating: Work in rows, allowing tines to penetrate soil fully.
  5. Hedge trimming: Use smooth, even strokes, keeping blades parallel to hedge surface.
  6. Shutdown: Allow engine to idle for 30 seconds, then move stop switch to "0".

WARNING! Never operate above shoulder height. Maintain 15-meter safety distance from others. Watch for hidden obstacles.

Safety Features

Throttle lockout: Prevents accidental throttle engagement. Stop switch: Immediate engine shutdown. Harness: Proper weight distribution reduces fatigue. Vibration reduction: Minimizes long-term vibration exposure. Protective shields: Deflect debris from operator.

Maintenance & Storage

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

Daily: Clean exterior, check for loose fasteners, inspect cutting attachments.
Weekly: Clean air filter, check spark plug, inspect fuel lines.
Monthly: Change engine oil (after first 20 hours, then every 50 hours), clean cooling fins.
Seasonal: Drain fuel for storage, lubricate drive shaft, sharpen/replace cutting elements.

Storage: Clean thoroughly, drain fuel or add stabilizer, store in dry place with attachments detached.
