Controls and Settings

Main controls located on rear handle assembly.

Handle Controls: Throttle trigger, Throttle trigger lockout, Stop switch, Shaft length adjustment clamp.

Engine Controls: Choke lever, Fuel primer bulb, Air purge button, Decompression valve.

Adjustments: Shaft length (loosen clamp, slide to position, retighten), Handle rotation (loosen bolts, rotate to comfortable angle), Blade lubrication rate (adjust screw on oil tank).

Fuel and Lubrication

Use only STIHL recommended fuels and lubricants.

  1. Fuel mixture: 50:1 ratio of unleaded gasoline (min. 90 octane) to STIHL HP Ultra oil.
