Assembly & Preparation

  Controls and Components

  Tip: Never use fuel older than 30 days. Store fuel in approved containers away from heat sources.

  Starting & Operation

  Starting procedure for cold and warm engine.

  1. Place unit on clear, level ground.
  2. Set choke lever to cold start position (if engine cold).
  3. Press primer bulb 5-10 times until fuel is visible.
  4. Set stop switch to "I" (run) position.
  5. Hold unit securely with one hand on handle, foot through loop.
  6. Pull starter rope briskly until engine fires.
  7. Move choke lever to run position after engine starts.
  8. Allow 30-60 seconds warm-up before applying load.
  9. To stop: Release throttle, press stop switch to "O".

  WARNING! Never drop-start or start while carrying. Keep cutting attachment clear during starting.
