Safety Information

  1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, heavy-duty gloves, long pants, and sturdy boots.
  2. Work Area Safety: Clear area of bystanders, especially children and pets. Be aware of thrown object hazards.
  3. Fuel Safety: Refuel in a well-ventilated area with engine off and cool. Use only STIHL-approved gasoline/oil mix.
  4. Operation Safety: Keep firm footing. Do not operate on steep slopes. Never operate with one hand.

WARNING! The cutting tool continues to rotate after the throttle is released. Keep away from the cutting attachment until it comes to a complete stop.

Assembly & Preparation

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble according to instructions.

  1. Attach Handle: Secure the loop handle to the shaft at the desired position for operator comfort.
  2. Install Harness: Connect the harness hooks to the attachment points on the machine.
  3. Install Cutting Attachment: Fit the chosen trimmer head, blade, or brush knife, ensuring it is securely fastened with the proper tool.
  4. Fuel Mix: Prepare fuel using high-quality unleaded gasoline (min. 89 octane) and STIHL 2-stroke engine oil at a 50:1 ratio. Shake well.
  5. Fill Fuel Tank: Clean area around cap. Fill tank with the prepared fuel mixture.

CAUTION! Ensure all fasteners are tight before operation. Do not force parts during assembly.
