Safety Information

  1. Always wear eye protection, hearing protection, long pants, and sturdy shoes.
  2. Never operate in wet conditions or near flammable materials.

  4. Use only Stihl-approved fuel mixture (50:1 gasoline to 2-cycle oil).

WARNING! Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel only with engine off and cool. Do not smoke near fuel.

Assembly & Preparation

Unpack and inspect contents. Assemble according to instructions.

  2. Install nozzle: Twist onto blower tube until secure.
  3. Fuel mixture: Prepare 50:1 mix with Stihl HP Ultra oil and unleaded gasoline (min. 89 octane).

Starting & Stopping Procedure

Follow proper sequence for safe starting and stopping.

  1. Cold Start: Place on flat surface. Set stop switch to "I". Press decompression valve. Set choke lever to full choke. Press air purge bulb 5-6 times. Pull starter cord slowly until resistance felt, then pull briskly. Move choke to half position after engine fires. Allow to warm up 30 seconds.
  2. Warm Start: Choke in off position. Pull starter cord normally.
  3. Stopping: Release throttle. Set stop switch to "O".

Tip: Do not pull starter cord more than 3-4 times with choke engaged if engine doesn't start.

Operating Instructions

Proper technique ensures efficiency and safety.

  1. Don harness: Adjust straps for snug, comfortable fit with weight on hips.
  2. Starting position: Place blower on ground, nozzle pointing away.
  3. Begin blowing: Start with low throttle, increase as needed.
  4. Movement pattern: Work with wind when possible. Use sweeping motions.
  5. Nozzle adjustment: Rotate for focused stream or wide pattern.
  6. Take breaks: Rest every 30-45 minutes to prevent fatigue.

WARNING! Never point nozzle at people, animals, or fragile objects. Be aware of flying debris.
