Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before operation. Wear appropriate PPE.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment: Wear safety glasses, hearing protection, long pants, and sturdy shoes.
  2. Operating Area: Keep bystanders, children, and pets at least 15 meters away.
  3. Fuel Safety: Refuel outdoors only, with engine off and cool. Use approved fuel container.
  4. Hot Surfaces: Avoid contact with muffler and engine; they become very hot during operation.
  5. Carbon Monoxide: Operate only in well-ventilated areas; never indoors.

Assembly & Preparation

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble before first use.

  1. Attach Blower Tube: Align tube with blower outlet and twist clockwise until it locks.
  2. Attach Nozzle: Slide adjustable nozzle onto end of blower tube and secure with locking collar.
  3. Fuel Mix: Prepare 50:1 fuel/oil mixture using STIHL 2-stroke oil and unleaded gasoline (min. 89 octane).
  4. Fill Fuel Tank: Clean area around cap, fill with mixed fuel to indicated level.

Controls and Operation

Master Control Lever: Combines choke, throttle lock, and stop functions. Throttle Trigger: Controls engine speed. Throttle Lock: Locks throttle at idle for warm-up. Stop Switch: Moves to STOP position to shut off engine.

Operating Tips: Hold blower with both hands. Start at low speed, increase as needed. Use sweeping motions for best results. Avoid pointing nozzle at people, animals, or debris that could become projectiles.

Fuel & Oil Mixture

Use only unleaded gasoline with minimum 89 octane and STIHL 2-stroke engine oil.

  1. Mix Ratio: 50 parts gasoline to 1 part oil (50:1).
  2. Mixing: Add oil to approved fuel can, then add gasoline. Shake thoroughly.
  3. Storage: Use fresh fuel; do not store mixed fuel more than 30 days.

Tip: Never use automotive oil or fuel with more than 10% ethanol.

Starting & Stopping

Follow cold or warm starting procedure.

  1. Cold Start: Set master control lever to choke position (full left). Press decompression valve if equipped. Pull starter rope sharply until engine fires. Move lever to half-throttle position. Pull starter rope again to start. Allow to warm up at idle.
  2. Warm Start: Set master control lever to run position (horizontal). Pull starter rope.
  3. Stopping: Release throttle trigger. Move stop switch to STOP position.

WARNING! Keep hands and feet clear of blower tube during starting.

Storage Guidelines

Prepare blower for storage if not used for more than 30 days.

  1. Drain fuel tank and run engine until it stops to clear carburetor.
  2. Remove spark plug and add 1-2 teaspoons of engine oil through spark plug hole. Pull starter rope slowly to distribute oil, then reinstall plug.
  3. Clean entire unit, especially cooling fins and air filter.
  4. Store in dry, secure place, out of reach of children.

CAUTION! Never store with fuel in tank for extended periods.
