Safety Information

Read all instructions before operation. Wear appropriate PPE.

  1. Always wear eye protection, hearing protection, long pants, and sturdy shoes.
  2. Operate only in well-ventilated areas; gasoline engines produce carbon monoxide.
  3. Keep bystanders, especially children and pets, at least 15 meters away.
  4. Never point the blower tube at people, animals, or windows.
  5. Inspect the unit for damage before each use.

WARNING! Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel only when engine is off and cool. Do not smoke.

Assembly & First Use

Unpack and assemble components. Prepare fuel mixture.

  1. Attach blower tube: Align arrows on tube and housing, push together and twist to lock.
  2. Attach handle: Secure with provided screws using included hex key.
  3. Fuel mixture: Use STIHL HP Ultra 2-stroke oil mixed with unleaded gasoline (50:1 ratio). Shake well.
  4. Starting: Set stop switch to "I", press primer bulb 5 times, set choke lever, pull starter cord firmly.

CAUTION! Use only STIHL-approved fuel and oil. Incorrect mixture can cause engine damage.

Main controls located on handle and engine housing.

Handle: Throttle trigger, throttle lock button, stop switch. Engine Housing: Choke lever, primer bulb, fuel tank cap, air filter cover, spark plug cover.

Operation: Start engine as described. Allow 30-second warm-up at idle. Use throttle trigger for variable blowing speed. Engage throttle lock for continuous operation. To stop, release throttle and press stop switch to "0".

Fuel & Lubrication

Use fresh unleaded gasoline (min. 89 octane) mixed with STIHL HP Ultra oil at 50:1 ratio.

  1. Clean area around fuel cap before opening.
  2. Use approved fuel can with spout; fill to marked level.
  3. Replace cap tightly and wipe any spills.
  4. Lubrication: Gearbox is factory-filled; no user service required.

Tip: Use fuel within 30 days. Add STIHL Fuel Stabilizer for longer storage.

Maintenance Schedule

Regular maintenance ensures performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Check for loose parts, clean air filter, inspect blower tube for obstructions.
  2. Weekly: Check spark plug condition and gap (0.5 mm / 0.020 in).
  3. Monthly: Clean cooling fins, check fuel filter, inspect anti-vibration elements.
  4. Annually: Have unit serviced by authorized STIHL dealer.
  5. Spark Plug: NGK BPMR 7A (gap 0.5 mm)

WARNING! Always disconnect spark plug wire before performing maintenance.

Cleaning & Storage

Clean after each use. Store properly for extended periods.

Cleaning: Use soft brush or cloth. Never use water or pressure washer on engine. Storage: Empty fuel tank completely or add stabilizer. Run engine until it stops to clear carburetor. Store in dry, locked area out of reach of children.
