  2. Never operate in enclosed or poorly ventilated areas due to carbon monoxide risk.
  3. Keep bystanders, especially children and pets, at a safe distance.
  4. Inspect the blower for damage before each use. Do not use if damaged.
  5. Be aware of your surroundings and avoid blowing debris towards people, windows, or cars.

WARNING! Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel only in a well-ventilated area with the engine stopped and cool. Do not smoke.

Assembly & Initial Setup

Assemble the powerhead with the desired attachment (blower tube used as example).

  1. Attach the handle: Secure the handle to the powerhead using the provided screws and hex wrench.
  2. Install the blower tube: Align the tube with the powerhead outlet and twist to lock into place. Secure with the locking lever if applicable.
  3. Attach the harness: Connect the harness hooks to the designated rings on the powerhead and adjust straps for a snug fit.
  4. Fuel mix: Use only 50:1 gasoline to STIHL HP Ultra 2-cycle oil. Do not use automotive oil or fuel with more than 10% ethanol.
  5. Priming & Starting: Press the primer bulb 5-10 times. Set master control to choke (cold start). Pull starter cord until engine fires, then move lever to run position and pull again.

CAUTION! Ensure all fasteners are tight before operation. Keep loose clothing and hair away from moving parts.

Fuel & Lubrication

Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89. Mix with STIHL HP Ultra 2-cycle oil at a 50:1 ratio.

Mixing Instructions:

  1. Use an approved fuel can. Add a precise amount of STIHL HP Ultra oil.
  2. Add half the gasoline, shake vigorously.
  3. Add remaining gasoline, shake again.
  4. Label can clearly. Use fuel within 30 days.

Gearbox Lubrication (for trimmer/brushcutter attachments): Lubricate with STIHL gear oil during attachment changes or every 25 hours.

CAUTION! Never use fuel mix that is older than 30 days. Stale fuel causes starting and performance issues.

Storage Guidelines

For storage longer than 30 days, prepare the engine to prevent fuel system damage.

  1. Run engine to empty the carburetor of fuel (or add fuel stabilizer to a full tank and run for 2 mins).
  2. Allow engine to cool completely.
  3. Remove spark plug, add a teaspoon of engine oil into cylinder, pull starter cord slowly 2-3 times to coat interior, reinstall plug.
  4. Clean entire unit thoroughly.
  5. Store in a cool, dry, and locked place, out of reach of children.

WARNING! Never store the unit with fuel in the tank indoors or in an area with open flames or sparks.
