IntervalTask
Before each useCheck for loose fasteners, leaks, damage. Clean air filter if dirty.
Every 10 hoursClean spark plug, check electrode gap. Inspect fuel filter.
Every 25 hoursReplace air filter. Clean cooling fins. Check spark arrestor screen.
Every 50 hoursReplace spark plug. Clean carburetor air intake. Check anti-vibration elements.
End of seasonFull inspection. Prepare for storage (see Storage section).

Fuel & Lubrication

Use only high-quality, fresh fuel and specified oil.

  1. Fuel Mix Ratio: 50:1 (Gasoline to STIHL HP Ultra 2-cycle oil).
  2. Gasoline: Unleaded, minimum 89 octane (R+M)/2. Do not use fuel older than 60 days.
