Controls and Operation

Operation: Hold trimmer with both hands. Use a sweeping motion from side to side, keeping cutting head parallel to ground. Avoid contact with hard objects.

Stopping: Release trigger switch. Remove battery for complete power off.

Battery & Charging

Use only STIHL AK series batteries and chargers.

Cutting Attachment

  1. Line Loading: Turn head to "Spool Change" position, remove cap, load with recommended line, reinstall cap.
  2. Line Advance: Bump head gently on ground while motor is running to feed new line.
  3. Line Length: Do not extend line beyond guard. Cut to proper length if necessary.
  4. Inspection: Regularly check line for wear and replace when short.

WARNING! Always stop motor and remove battery before servicing cutting attachment. Wear gloves to protect hands from line ends.

Maintenance & Storage

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.
